Several years ago I ordered two blitzu gator 450 bike lights and used them a bunch and they worked great. I brought my bike into the bike shop for a tune-up and had them throw grips on for me and they lost the two mounting brackets. I contacted blitzu and the gave me a link to their website which I ordered two new mounting brackets. When I opened the package there was only one mounting bracket in the package. I email them and let them know and we went back and forth with emails and they finally notified me that they were out of stock so I'm guessing that's why I only got one but I got no paperwork with it and nobody told me that there was only one or any other information. They finally responded that they were out of stock and they would send one out to me free of charge when they received it. So now I wait and it sucks that I had to chase them down so to speak to get any kind of answer about the other mounting bracket. We'll see how it goes.
I ordered a mount for the Gator 320, but turns out, I have the older version of the light. I rated this as 3 stars because there was no mention that there was a compatibility issue with new vs old versions of the light. However, that said, customer service was absolutely amazing and sent me the correct one ASAP. They were very helpful and the interaction was great! I'd give them 5 stars.
" Light My Way "
I had purchased the Blitzu Gator 380 approximately 2 years ago, it came with the old style screw type mount, after it had enough of mounting and dismounting, it broke, light almost fell off during some heavy pedaling. I tried to remount with wire ties / zip strips, looked ok, but not wanting to dismount very easily, just happen to check on line for new light and found the new style bracket , works perfect, looks good and easy to mount and dismount, great job Blitzu for updating to a newer style bracket, " thanks for showing us the light " , I can see brightly now !
Does the job with design flaw
Arrived quickly and as described. Perfectly functional. BUT, the way it's designed, when you pull the strap tight, the excess strap blocks the headlight! This depends if course on the girth of the tube you're attaching it to, but it is true in my pretty standard handlebars. I left it one notch looser than I'd like and it's fine. They may want to flip it around so the excess strap sticks out the back, away from the light
