Choosing the Right Size for your Compression Socks

Compression socks are specially designed socks that provide graduated compression to the legs and feet. They are worn for a variety of reasons, and the need for compression socks can depend on an individual's health, lifestyle, or specific circumstances. Here are some common reasons why people might need to wear compression socks:
- Improved Circulation: Compression socks can help improve blood circulation in the legs by applying gentle pressure. This is particularly beneficial for individuals with conditions like venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or chronic venous disease.
- Prevention of Blood Clots: For people at risk of developing blood clots, such as those who have recently undergone surgery or have a history of DVT, compression socks can help reduce the risk of clot formation by keeping blood flowing smoothly.
- Reducing Swelling: Compression socks can help reduce edema (swelling) in the legs and feet. This is often seen in pregnant women, individuals with certain medical conditions, or those who spend long periods on their feet.
- Varicose Vein Management: Compression socks can alleviate the symptoms associated with varicose veins, such as pain, discomfort, and swelling. They do not eliminate varicose veins but can provide relief.
- Alleviating Symptoms of Venous Insufficiency: Chronic venous insufficiency is a condition where the veins in the legs struggle to return blood to the heart effectively. Compression socks can help manage the symptoms, such as leg pain, cramps, and skin discoloration.
- Sports and Recovery: Athletes often use compression socks to enhance performance, reduce muscle soreness, and aid in post-exercise recovery. The compression can help with blood flow, oxygen delivery to muscles, and lactic acid removal.
- Prolonged Sitting or Standing: People who have jobs that require long hours of sitting or standing, such as desk jobs or airline crews, may wear compression socks to reduce the risk of developing circulation-related problems.
- Travel: Wearing compression socks during long flights or car journeys can help prevent blood clots and reduce leg swelling caused by prolonged immobility.
It's important to note that the use of compression socks should be guided by a healthcare professional, as the level of compression required and the specific reasons for wearing them can vary. They come in different levels of compression, and the choice depends on an individual's needs and any underlying medical conditions. Compression stockings are typically available over the counter, but some cases may require a prescription for higher levels of compression or specific medical conditions.

Good socks but I want other colors in mens large except black

They are a little challenging to get on but once they’re on they’re very comfortable. I wear them all day and I love them.
Kirsteen M. 5/5 Verified
I wear them everyday. Transporting Veterans to their medical appointments requires a lot of sitting behind the wheel. I drive 1,000 to 1,600 miles per week. These socks help with swelling.

Because I’ve been unwell for a few years and have been unable to be very active, my legs have been aching. I’ve only recently started wearing these compression socks, and my legs already feel MUCH better. I wear them all day, and they’re very comfortable. Once I have them on, I forget they’re there. I’m glad I ordered two pairs so I will always have a clean set.

Great buy I sit all day for work and was having problems with swelling after sitting. They are very comfortable and they work! I’ve tried others in the past that did not help. Definitely worth the buy. I wish I could buy all the colors they are also vibrant. Sizing is accurate.

I love the correct size of socks. I ordered another two large. I have not got them. Nor seen a email.
Jim J. 5/5 Verified
They are way too small. Although they are labeled as being larger than the ones I currently own, they are too short and only come up over my calf instead of to my knees. They do not seem to be as good as the ones I purchased several years ago. The package does not say what level of compression they are so I have no idea of what it is I have received.

Support, comfortable with an even pressure distribution. Exactly the change in my legs I need to go forward with much less pain in the busy life I lead.

Had not too much time to wear it, however it’s great quality, and value.

Compression Socks The compression socks are very hard to put on, but they do feel good after you get them on. I wish there was an easier way. Thanks.

Best I've Uesd to Prevent Lower Leg Swelling I have used several different brands of compresson stockings over the years. Blitzu stockings are the only stockings, I have found, that do not lose their elasticity over repeated washings. They are a challenge to put on at times, but once they are on they are extremely comfortable. If you have problems with swelling in your lower legs, then you need Blitzu compresson stockings.

Great fit and comfortable all day. Got these socks to control swelling in my ankles and feet from atrial fibrillation. Feels comfortable all day long and virtually no swelling visible at end of the day. Easy to cool wash socks and air dry.

Wow. Nice to find a product that *is* for real. At 67 I suddenly developed water in my lower legs. These work. Yes, they are an investment, but they are worth every penny.

Super helpful during my pregnancy Purchased because I’m on my feet non stop at work and the swelling due to pregnancy was becoming a problem. 36 weeks now and these socks have been a huge help!
Monica G. 5/5
Amazing product This brace is amazing! It helped improve my circulation on my lower legs.
Laura J. 5/5
LOVE THEM!!! Both me and my son have POTS and circulation issues. These fit extreme true to size so be careful picking a size. They are perfectly tight and feel like my legs are getting a hug. They work the best out of the SEVERAL pairs I've ever tried. We have autism and sensory issues and socks are an issue. The toes have a lil extra room it doesn't need and unless the toes are pulled super tight the toe part is pretty annoying. It's my only complaint but I just pull them tighter and adjust a lot and they work for the day. I also wear them with my AFOs or KAFOs and they feel good. The good definitely outweighs this little issue and I will not buy any other brand.

Warmth and Comfort As a runner, I always seek ways to improve my post-recovery to avoid injury and become a better runner. As such, one tool I use is compression socks. These compression socks are some of the warmest and most comfortable ones I own. They are versatile too, and I can use them before, during, or after a run. I have found that I like using them during my long runs or tempo runs, as the added cushion keeps my feet from feeling overly sore. The compression given by the socks also adds a little stability to my ankles and helps keep my ankle from rolling when I feel fatigued during a run. Overall, even if you are not a runner, they are a comfortable pair of socks. I would suggest that if you don't like a feeling of pressure on your feet, ankles, or calves, then these socks are not for you. However, if this is what you are looking for, I highly recommend them.

F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C ! My disability makes me need to wear compression socks all the time. These were perfect. Worth every cent. Gotta go, in buying more.
Trista P. 5/5
Great compression sock These were very hard to get on in the beginning but reduced my swelling from a trimalleolar ankle fracture much faster. I would definitely recommend this brand.

Best there is for lymphedema If you have issues with lymphedema for whatever reason these are the best on the market hands down. I have tried pretty much everything. The standard compression ones don’t work. If you are on your feet all day or working out or doing house projects these keep your legs from accumulating fluid (lymph) and prevent the associated pain. Bought my first pair about 6 years ago. They finally wore out. The best you will find for anyone else out there frustrated by most of the “stuff” that is out there that doesn’t work.

Best compression sleeves on the market! I had some strain in my ankle and these socks helped me feel supported and I gained a lot of strength back in my legs. Great Socks!
Harrison K. 5/5
Great Product Night these on black and blue to help with swelling in my legs during workouts and throughout the day. They work great. Only fireball I've seen is I bought a black and a blue but they have a significantly different amount of stretch length but both pair work very well.
Courtney A. 5/5
Good product! These socks are amazing, they provide great compression and support for my calves!!
Mike O. 5/5
You NEED these compression socks! They are soft to the touch and not super difficult to get on and off, but you can feel how strong the compression is. I bought purple because it's my favorite color but I like the other vibrant colors they offer too. They fit perfect without bunching up or cutting into my leg behind the knee and for the price, you need these in your compression sock collection. I bought 3 pairs and well definitely be buying more.
Colin S. 5/5
Great socks These socks exceeded my expectations. They are longer than what I assumed from the stock photo. They are soft and very stretchy yet provide the compression I need. They were recommended to me by a coworker and I’m glad I took her advice!

Well made and comfortable I have a few pair of these now. They fit very very well and are comfortable. They replaced a tired set of socks. The build quality is excellent and much better than the past pair. With my job I walk anywhere from 10k steps a day to 20k. Plus I have to unload half a doZen pallets. After a long day my feet and legs feel great. Great product at a good price. Thank you for a great product.

This the best compression socks I ever bought. I highly recommend. The best compression socks I ever bought. I love how the feel on my feet. I highly recommend
Rashelle R. 5/5
recommend these were packaged nicely and with quality which is something I always notice first. If a company puts effort into the look and quality of the items packaging, it means that they put full effort into the actual product! the compression socks are very comfortable as they are padded at the bottom so it's almost like having another insole in your shoe without any bulkiness. The are thick and very well made and look sporty and not elderly lol. it came with a coupon for next purchases and also seem to have amazing customer service seeing it says it there's any fitting issues after purchase to contact them and they'll immediately fix it for you with no troubles. that overall seems like a worry-free purchase to me! I'm very satisfied and I highly recommend this brand!

Powerfull Socks are very tight on me, compression is great but feel like L/XL not quite large enough for me. These hold down swelling better then my more expensive 20-30 compression socks so I will struggle to pull them on/off because of their results.
